The Girl (2012)

This movie is about a women from Texas down on her luck and trying to get her son back from foster care, goes on a trip to Mexico with her dad. On that trip she discovered that he smuggles people from Mexico into the U.S. in his truck. After realizing that she could make some good money, she tries smuggling her self. When she leads her first group to a river crossing, she finds out only three people made it across. One of the survivors is a little girl who is looking for her mother. She is now stuck trying to help her find her mother, and when she realizes what happened to her she takes the girl to her grandmother.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Starring Abbie Cornish (Limitless, Sucker Punch) as Ashley, Will Patton (Remember the Titans, Armageddon) as Tommy and introducing Maritza Santiago Hernandez as Rosa.
