Godzilla (2014)

Well, this is a re-make with a different twist. In this rendition, in the 1940' s the military tried to kill Godzilla with nuclear warheads. But, they evolved and now feed on nuclear radiation to survive. So now, Godzilla is fighting against two new creatures in this action packed and sci-fi intense movie. It has a good cast and great special effects with a surprise ending.

I recommend this movie, but it is not for young kids. I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

Love Is All You Need (2012)

This movie is about a man and a women who have an off chance meeting realize they have allot in common. The man is a fruit salesman and the women is a hair dresser who is recovering from cancer treatment, meet in a parking garage at the airport on the way to a wedding. It turns out that there kids are marrying each other and they start to fall for each other.

This movie has allot of subtitles as only part of it is in English.

This is a good date movie but it is not for children. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Breakout (2013)

This movie is about an environmentalist that gets sent to jail because of a fight he got into and killed a man. When he makes a plea deal a man and his mentally disabled brother kidnap his two kids and he breaks out to save them.

This is an action/drama movie, and I recommend it. I give it a 4 out of 5.

X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)

This is the latest installment of the Marvel franchise X-Men movie series. In this movie, humans are at war with mutants using a tool they have devised from a DNA sample they got 50 years ago from Mystique. They send Wolverine back in time to change her mind on murder that will change the result of the future. This is an action packed and hi-tech movie. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes the X-Men, marvel or futuristic movies.

I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

Killing Season (2013)

This movie is about two veterans of the Bosnian war in the 90's who meet up in the woods of Tennessee. One of them had been shot and left for dead but survived and sought his killer for payback. When he finally meets him he befriends him and invites him to go hunting. When he agrees, he tricks him and attacks him with an arrow. Now he has to defend himself.

This is a great movie with a great cast. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Enough Said (2013)

This is the last movie made by James Gandolfini before he died.

This movie is about a message therapist who meets a women at a party and becomes friends and also meets a man at that same party. When she starts dating this guy she realises the ex-husband of her new patient is the man she has been seeing and allows these comments to poison the relationship. When they find out they all know each other all the relationships suffer.

This is a good date movie and I recommend it. I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

Closed Circuit (2013)

This movie is about a terrorism case attracting allot of attention and depends on the testimony of a young boy. Two former lovers are put on the case and have to decide if they will let the judge know of the past relationship and risk getting taken off the case or say nothing.

I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5. This movie is not for kids.

Runner Runner (2013)

This movie is about a college student who gets caught running an on-line gambling ring at his school to pay for college. When he gets cheated on-line he decides to confront the game owner and enters a new world of gambling. This is a good movie with a good cast.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

This is a great action/scifi movie an alien race that has invaded earth and is trying to kill our species. They have a special tool in the blood that if it gets inside of you each time you die the day starts over, and keeps happening over and over until someone wins. This movie is a mix of Elysium/War of the World. It is a great action packed movie and should be viewed in 3D.

I give this movie a 5 out of 5. This movie is not for kids.

In a World... (2013)

This movie is about a man and his daughter in the film post production business who compete to fill the void for the legendary movie trailer voice over actor Don LaFontaine. It shows the family struggles between the two sisters and there father and how his life choices have effected them. This is a funny movie.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Don Jon (2013)

 This is a movie about a "juicer" from Jersey who in all into himself, girls and working out. One day, he meets a girl who makes him want to settle down. Except she finds out his affliction for watching porn that she dumps him for it. He then meets an older women in school who recently lost her family, and she ends up showing him error o his ways.

This is an explicit movie and is not for children as it has lots of sexual content. I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013)

This is another Ben Stiller movie about a man who lives a boring life working for Life magazine. When he decides to join a dating site so he can meet a women he works with he is asked about anything special he has done in life. When he realizes he hasn' t done anything, he imagines great things and adventures and finally takes a real adventure to find a missing slide given to him by a photographer for the final issue of his magazine.

This movie is OK, I give it a 4 out of 5.

Best Man Down (2012)

This movie is about a best man in a wedding dies after getting too drunk at his friends wedding. When the bride and groom find out they postpone the honeymoon so they can go back and plan the funeral. When they try to contact his family they meet a young girl who turns out to be his girlfriend. They find out the there friend had allot of secrets they didn' t know about including a lingering health problem. This is a rather strange movie and is OK.

I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Charlie Countryman (2013)

This movie is about a young man who looses his mom and decides to travel abroad. While on the plane he meets a man who has an interesting life and gets involved with his daughter after he is asked to deliver a gift to her upon his passing. He is taken on a wild ride when he meets her.

This is not a movie for kids. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Maleficent (2014)

This is a great Disney movie about a vindictive fairy who tries to get even with an old friend who becomes King by cutting off her wings and presents it to his dying father, the King. When the new King has a daughter, he curses her to fall asleep when she pokes her finger on her 16th birthday can only be awakened by true loves kiss.

This is a great family movie but can be scary to kids under 10. I recommend this movie and give it a 4.5 out of 5.
