Ride Along (2014)

A security guard gets accepted into the police academy and wants approval of his girlfriends brother who is a cop so he can ask her to marry him. He decides that he has to prove himself and tells him to come on a ride along. During the shift he sets him up several times to fail and when a drug bust goes wrong he proves himself by saving his life. This is a very funny movie.

I recommend this movie and give it a 5 out of 5.

American Hustle (2013)

A man and his wife team up with an FBI agent, and try and bust the mafia. The movie has a great cast but I didn' t think it was that great of a movie.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014)

WOW! AWESOME!

I am not sure why this movie has Mark Wahlburg in it, but it was on office movie. Excellent special effects.

A mechanic/inventor is trying to make a big invention to help his family survive, when he discovers an old tractor truck that is all damaged. It turns out the truck is Optimus Prime, the auto bots  leader who was destroyed by humans. He decides to find his friends and help the humans one more time to defeat the bots helping the government agency trying to make new robots after unlocking the secret to the material.

This is a great movie if you love action movies, or you have seen the other ones. It is a long movie, almost three hours but totally worth it. I recommend this movie and give it a 5 out of 5.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone (2013)

A magician and his childhood friend and who have been partners for years are trying to revive a failing career. But after his partner quits and he loses his Vegas casino act he turns to his hero for help. He meets a new rival street magician who does daring stunts to try to win.

This is a cheesy movie even with who is in the cast. This is a family friendly movie and I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Man of Steel (2013)

This new take on the Superman story was an action packed thriller. The start of the movie is a little strange but once it gets going it turns out great. Clark Kent gets sent to earth by his parents when his world is under imminent danger. He is found in his pod by a couple who raise him as there own.

When he grows up he confronts his past and discovers why he has these special abilities that make him so different from others.

This movie has a great cast of well known actors and some lesser known ones. I recommend this movie and give it a 5 out of 5.

Saving Mr. Banks (2013)

This movie is about how author L.P. Travers works with Walt Disney on creating  a movie about here book Marry Poppins based on her childhood experiences. At first she is very reluctant and not willing to let Disney do what he wants with the story. But after much reflection and prodding from Disney and his team she decides to work with them and the movie was very emotional for her.

This is a great family movie and I give it a 4 out of 5.

Ender' s Game (2013)

The is a Sci-Fi movie about a young boy who is recruited to learn to fight an alien race that has invaded earth in the past and killed most of the human race. These young kids are training for when they return and they can defend earth. But Ender Wiggin with the International Military is the main hope as the leader and he shines as in his training.

This is an action sci-fi movie and is ok for kids. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Tammy (2014)

This is another Melissa McCarthy movie with the same type of movie she always does.

After hitting a deer and damaging her car, she loses her job from being late to work. She causes a big scene and when she gets home she finds out that her husband has been cheating on her. She moves to her mothers house and decides to take a road trip with her ailing grandmother. On the road trip they meet a man and his son who they encounter several times during the movie.

I wasn' t crazy about this movie but it was still funny. I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (2013)

Well, this is the second movie about Ron Burgundy. Ron gets fired from his news job when his wife Veronica gets a promotion. Well Ron joins his old friends on a new news station. They joined the first 24hr news station. This movie is even better than the first one with the same great cast.

I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013)

The son of Poseidon must save the day to not lose there safe haven. They must find the Golden Fleece and stop evil from taking over. This is a kids movie and part of the Percy Jackson movie series.

I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Armageddon

The world is threatened by a giant asteroid that will hit earth. A group of rag tag oil drillers join a group of astronauts aboard two ships that will intercept the asteroid and attempt insert a nuclear bomb to break it apart and avoid earth. This is a comedy/drama movie a great cast. I recommend this movie to anyone. I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

Gangster Squad (2013)

This movie is about the hay day of the Gangster era when a group of LA cops team up to take down the ruthless boss Mickey Cohen. This is an action packed gangster movie. It has an all star cast but is not as good a movie as I had hoped. I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

This movie is about a couple in hard times that find out they are pregnant. When the women gets scheduled to night shift, her boyfriend goes to work with her but gets her fired. After much struggle, she decides to have an abortion. Even though she does this her boyfriend stays with her.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

The Counselor (2013)

This movie is an action and gruesome movie with a great cast.

A lawyer who is not doing to well decides to go in on the drug trade. Well he finds himself in over his head and the people around him start dieing. He starts to regret his involvement and when he asks for help, no one will help him out and they run. This movie is not for kids.

I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.
