Man of Steel (2013)

This new take on the Superman story was an action packed thriller. The start of the movie is a little strange but once it gets going it turns out great. Clark Kent gets sent to earth by his parents when his world is under imminent danger. He is found in his pod by a couple who raise him as there own.

When he grows up he confronts his past and discovers why he has these special abilities that make him so different from others.

This movie has a great cast of well known actors and some lesser known ones. I recommend this movie and give it a 5 out of 5.

Starring Henry Cavill (Immortals, Stardust) as Clark Kent/Kal-El, Amy Adams (American Hustle, The Fighter) as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon (The Iceman, Take Shelter) as  General Zod, Diane Lane (Unfaithful, The Perfect Storm) as Martha Kent, Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) as Jor-El, Antje Traue (Pandorum, 5 Days of War) as Faora-Ul, Harry Lennix (Ray, The Matrix Revolutions) as General Swanwick, Richard Schiff (The Lost World: Jurassic Park, I Am Sam) as Dr. Emil Hamilton, Christopher Meloni (42, Dirty Movie) as Colonel Nathan Hardy, Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves, Waterworld) as Jonathan Kent, Ayelet Zurer (Angels & Demons, Munich) as Lara Lor-Van, Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix movies, Event Horizon) as Perry White, Dylan Sprayberry (Shuffle, Old Dogs) as Clark Kent (13 Years) and Cooper Timberline (Chasing Mavericks) as Clark Kent (9 Years).
