As I Lay Dying (2013)

This is an unusual movie with interesting split screen cinematography. This movie is produced by James Franco, and is based on a 1930' s work by Faulkner.

This movie is about a family who is awaiting the mothers death, and start a journey to berry her in a far off location. When one of the brothers gets injured, they race for time to get to the destination before his leg gets infected and the mothers body starts to rot. This movie has a cast of well known actors from TV and film.

I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

Starring James Franco (127 Hours, This Is the End) as Darl Bundren, Tim Blake Nelson (O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Holes) as Anse, Kim Parrack (Battle Los Angeles, True Blood) as Cash, Ahna O'Reilly (The Help, Jobs) as Dewey Dell, Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus, Devil) as Jewel, introducing Brady Permenter as Vardaman Bundren, Danny McBride (Your Highness, Pineapple Express) as Vernon Tull, Beth Grant (No Country for Old Men, Donnie Darko) as Addie Bundren and Jennifer Kristen Howell (The Dynamiter) as Cora Tull.
