Django Unchained (2012)

The D is silent. A German bounty hunter tracks down and buys a black slave who knows three brothers that have warrants out for them from his former plantation. This bounty hunter convinces the black man that if he helps him catch all the men he has warrants out for, he will help him find and free his wife.

This is a movie that takes place in the old slave days, a few years before the civil war. It depicts how slave trade was back then and how blacks were treated. In the typical Quentin Tarantino fashion, this is a gruesome/gory film with allot of violence, blood and adult content. It is not advisable for children to watch. This movie is rated R. It has an all star cast and has one several awards, I highly recommend watching this movie especially if you are a Quentin fan.

Some other movies to see for his style of films are Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 and Inglorious Basterds.

I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

Starring Jamie Foxx (Ray, Collateral) as Django, Christoph Waltz (Inglorious Basterds, Water for Elephents) as Dr. King Schultz, Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception, The Departed) as slave owner Calvin Candie, Kerry Washington (Ray, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) as Broomhilda von Shaft and Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, The Avengers) as Stephen.
