Stargate (1994)

 A round ring is found at the Giza plateau for a young girl and her father in the 1920's. Years later, she recruits a young archeologist and members of the military to decipher the markings on it. But when they do, they realize it opens a gateway to another place. A robot scent through the gateway gets there curiosity and they send a team to explore...........
