American Sniper (2014)

This movie is based off a book written by the Navy Seal sniper depicted in this movie.

A Texas cowboy joins the Navy Seals and becomes a sniper. After getting married he gets sent on his 1st deployment to Iraq and he starts to change from what he see and experiences. When he comes back he meets his new son but is not the same person. As he keeps going back for more deployments he becomes more and more disconnected with his family. He earns the reputation as "the legend" for his 120 confirmed kills, but when he is home all he can think about is the men out there being killed everyday by the enemy sniper who has a price on his head. This movie has a sad and surprising ending.

This is a great military action movie and I recommend it. It is not a movie for kids due to violence. I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

Starring Bradley Cooper (The Hangover movies, Silver Linigs Playbook) as Chris Kyle, Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Dear White People) as Goat-Winston, introducing Cole Konis as the young Chris Kyle, Ben Reed (Face/Off, Scanner Cop) as Wayne Kyle, Keir O'Donnell (Wedding Chrashers, Paul Blart: Mall Cop) as Jeff Kyle and Marnette Patterson (Starship Troopers 3: Marauder, Pope Dreams) as Sarah.
