Lovelace (2013)

This movie starring Amanda Seyfried explains the rise and fall of porn star Linda Lovelace and her legal battles with her 1st husband and producers.

She moved to Davie Florida,a small town where she moved to after getting pregnant and being forced to give the baby up for adoption. After meeting Chuck, she  starts a whirlwind ride to porn stardom as she is introduced to prostitution and the porn industry. She ultimately decides it is not for her and tries to leave and her then husband would not let her leave because her had lots of money invested in her.

I give this movie a 4 out of 5. This movie is not for kids as it has sex and drug use scenes.

Passion (2012)

This is a provocative movie about an ad agency exec and her assistant who get into a twisted relationship, and when she finds out about her assistant hooking up with her boyfriend all hell breaks loose. It ultimately leads to murder......or does it?

This movie is not for children and is a movie that has an Alfred Hitchcock feel to the cinematography. I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

It' s a Disaster (2012)

This is a movie about four couples that meet for a monthly couples only brunch, the world starts to fall apart around them. Several couples discover infidelity, one couple breaks up and another calls off a long post pones wedding. An attack happens in the city and gives them a limited amount of time. They only find this out however because a neighbor comes over prepped for a disaster looking for batteries.

This is a quirky movie with a funny cast. It is a great date movie and I give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Grown Ups 2 (2013)

This is the sequel to Grown Ups, and it is even better then the first. Everyone is older, and all living back in Lenny' s home town. The guys are at it again trying to re-live there youth and things get out of hand. Marcus meets his son that he didn' t know about, Lenny has a little accident with his son and breaks his leg.

This is a great family movie and I definitely recommend it. I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

The Loan Ranger (2013)

This is the movie adaptation of the story of Native American Tonto and law man John Reid.

The movie starts with the story of how all of Tonto' s people were killed because he was tricked into showing two miners where he found a piece of silver, so they could com back and mine for the rest. The movie also shows how John Reid' s made him a sheriff just before being killed and now he is on a quest for revenge.

This is a Disney movie, and I give it a 4 out of 5.

The Baytown Outlaws (2012)

Three rednecks get hired to find a women' s estranged son from her ex, when they run unto difficulty try to deliver the boy. A county sheriff helps them out and he gets discovered by an agent from DC and try' s to clear his name. This is a good action movie with a couple of well known cast members.

This movie is not recommended for kids due to violence. I give this movie a 3.5 out of 5.

2 Guns (2013)

This is an action movie about a DEA agent and a navy intelligence officer that trick each other helping to catch a drug cartel leader. When they discover each others true identity, they turn on each other but ultimately work together.

This is a great action movie with a great cast. I recommend this movie and give it a 4 out of 5. I do not recommend this movie for children due to violence and nudity.

12 Years a Slave (2013)

A free man from the northeastern part of the US gets sold into slavery in the south by being tricked to go with two men who want to hire him as a performer. But after a celebratory dinner he is drugged and awakes in shackles and realizes he was sold into slavery.

Trying desperately to clear his own name and to prove his freedom, he gets sold from one slave owner to another until he meets a traveling carpenter who hears his story and tries to help him. This man send a letter to the slaves family in NY and they send a sheriff to set him free and reunite him with his family.

This is a gruesome story of slavery in the 1800' s and is not a movie for all viewers. Violence and graphic content are in the movie and is not recommended for children. This movie and its actors one several Oscar awards last week. I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5.

This Is the End (2013)

WOW!!!!!

What an awesome movie with a great cast!!!!!

This is a comedy movie about a bunch a celebrity actors and musicians play themselves and meet up at a party when a massive 9.2 earthquake hits LA and most of the guests die. This is the beginning of the Apocalypse and those who lived well in life were taken to Heaven in a blue beam of light.

They try and figure out how they can get into Heaven when one of them becomes possessed!

This is not a movie for kids because of violence and foul language. I give this movie a 5 out of 5.
