Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden (2012)

This is another take on the hunt and killing of Osama Bin Laden. It shows how the intelligence was gathered on the location of is compound, how they performed reconnaissance to verify if her was in fact there, and how they ultimately got him.

This is also a story of the heroism of Navy Seal team 6 and how they prepare for missions, train and execute them. I personally think that Zero Dark Thirty told a better story.

This movie has lots of action and a good cast. I give this movie a 4 out of 5. It is not recommended for children.

Starring Cam Gigandet (Easy A, Pandorum) as Stunner, Anson Mount (Safe, In Her Shoes) as Cherry, Freddy Rodriguez (Planet Terror, Lady in the Water) as Trench, Xzibit (Derailed, Domino) as Mule, Kathleen Robertson (Hollywoodland, I Am Sam) as Vivian, Robert Knepper (Prison Break, Hitman) as Lieutenant Commander, Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie movies, Venus & Vegas) as Christian, William Fichtner (The Dark Knight, Black Hawk Down) as Mr. Guidry and Jenny Gabrielle (Employee of the Month, The Lost Room) as Tricia.

Lone Survivor (2013)

Well, how do I start.....

This is a movie based from actual events as told from the book by Marcus Luttrell. It shows the actions of Seal team 10 on Operation Red Wing, in the hunt for notorious Al Qaeda leader Ahmad Shahd.

A small team of 4 Navy Seals go on a search for Ahmad Shahd in the mountains of Afghanistan. Once the seals dig in on there first night above the Afghan strong hold where Shahd is at, they wake up to a small group of goat herders that stumble upon there position. They capture them and struggle with what to do since they can' t get clearance over the radio from command. Ultimately they choose to let the go which proves to be a bad decision. They struggle to get to safety for an extraction. The movie has a tragic ending.

This is a great movie about what our military men an women go through on deployments. I want to thank all that have served and have been lost. I strongly recommend watching this gripping, emotional movie. It is not recommended for anyone under 13, as it is very graphic and violent. I give this movie a 5+ out of 5.

Starring Mark Wahlberg (Prisoners, The Fighter) as Marcus Luttrell, Taylor Kitsch (John Carter, Battleship) as Michael Murphy, Emile Hirsch (The Girl Next Door, Milk) as Danny Dietz, Ben Foster (3:10 to Yuma, Pandorum) as Matt 'Axe' Axelson, Eric Bana (Star Trek, Munich) as Erik Kristensen, Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games movies, Race To Witch Mountain) as Shane Patton and Jerry Ferrara (Entourage, Battleship) as Hasslert.

Flyboys (2006)

This is a movie about World War I, and a group of men who go to France to fly for them. They are called the Lafayette Escadrille , a group of young Americans who volunteer for the French.

This movie is not that good of a movie, which is surprising for James Franco. I give this movie a 3 out of 5.

Starring James Franco (127 Hours, This Is the End) Blaine Rawlings, Jean Reno (Leon: The Professional, Godzilla) as Capt. Thenault, Ruth Bradley (Grabbers, Alarm) as Laura, Philip Winchester (Strike Back, In My Sleep) as William Jensen and Mac McDonald (Batman, The Fifth Element) as Sheriff Detweiller.

Despicable Me 2 (2013)

This is the sequel to Despicable Me. It looks like they producers borrowed a little bit from other movies like Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

In this movie, Gru has gone legit and has a business making jams and jellies. He gets contacted by an agency looking for his help to capture another criminal mastermind. This movie is much funnier than the first movie, with much more humor. Some parts of the movie might seem a little scary for very young kids, so be advised.

I recommend this movie for families and kids. I give this movie a 5 out of 5.

Starring Steve Carrell (The Office, Despicable Me) as Gru (voice), Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, Despicable Me) as Lucy (voice), Benjamin Bratt (Demolition Man, Miss Congeniality) as Eduardo/El Macho (voice), Miranda Cosgrove (Despicable Me, The School of Rock) as Margo (voice), Russell Brand (Get Him to the Greek, Arthur) as Dr. Nefario (voice), Ken Jeong (The Hangover movies, Community) as Floyd (voice), Steve Coogan (Philomena, Tropic Thunder) as Silas (voice) and introducing Elsie Fisher (Despicable Me movies) as Agnes (voice).

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013)

This is a CRAZY movie, filled with drugs, sex and money!!!!!

This movie depicts a man that started with nothing, learned the ropes in an entry level position and worked his way to the top as a stock market.

It shows how cut throat, tough and risky it is on wall street. The movie has a great cast and takes you on a wild ride through the ups and downs of getting filthy rich at the cost of selling you your friends and taking big risks. This movie is not for children. It has lots of drug use, sex scenes and adult language.

I do recommend this movie, and give it a 5 out of 5.

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio (Inception, Titanic) as Jordon Belfort, Jonah Hill (21 Jump Street, This Is the End) as Donnie Azoff, Margot Robbie (Pan Am, Neighbours) as Naomi Lapaglia, Matthew McConaughey (Magic Mike, Mud) as Mark Hanna, Kyle Chandler (Zero Dark Thirty, Argo) as Agent Patrick Denham, Rob Reiner (All in the Family, The Story of Us) as Max Belfort, Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Ghost) as Brad, Jon Favreau (Iron Man movies, Swingers) as Manny Riskin and Cristin Milioti (Sleepwalk with Me, Year of the Carnivore) as Teresa Petrillo.
