The Tempest (2010)

This movie is based on a Shakespeare play of the same name. The gender of the main character is changed.

A ships crew is attacked by a storm in the ocean and is stranded on an island watched by a women and her daughter.

This is a strange movie but if you like Shakespeare, you might like this movie. I give this movie a 2.5 out of 5.

Starring Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything, Like Crazy) as Miranda, Jude Akuwudike (Sahara, A World Apart) as Boatswain, Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2) as Prince Ferdinand, David Strathairn (Sneakers, Eight Men Out) as King Alonso, Tom Conti (The Dark Knight Rises, Derailed) as Gonzalo, Alan Cumming (GoldenEye, X-Men 2) as Sebastian, Chris Cooper (American Beauty, The Bourne Identity) as Antonio, Helen Mirren (The Queen, The Debt) as Prospera, Ben Whishaw (Spectre, Skyfall) as Ariel, Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond) as Caliban and Russell Brand (Get Him to the Greek, Arthur) as Trinculo.
